IVECO BUS is supporting school mobility in Brazil through the delivery of a new batch of school buses as part of the Caminho da Escola programme, which provides for more than 14,000 vehicles by the end of 2026. Designed and manufactured locally, these vehicles contribute to the implementation of public policies promoting access to education.

IVECO BUS, the leading manufacturer in the current edition of Brazil’s federal Caminho da Escola programme, has delivered a new batch of school buses to the Federal Government during an official event held at its industrial site in Sete Lagoas, in the state of Minas Gerais.

More than 150 units of 15‑210 ORE 3 models were handed over on this occasion, as part of a total volume of 2,000 vehicles scheduled for the programme in 2026. Since joining the programme, IVECO BUS has already delivered more than 12,000 school buses and expects to exceed the 14,000‑unit mark by the end of 2026.

For more than 15 years, IVECO BUS has been actively involved in the Caminho da Escola programme, developing school transport solutions tailored to local realities. Combining robustness, accessibility and operational efficiency, these vehicles help improve access to education across the country, including in rural and remote areas. All vehicles delivered under the programme are fully designed and manufactured in Brazil at the manufacturer’s Sete Lagoas plant, contributing to the strengthening of the national industry and the local industrial ecosystem.

The 10‑190 ORE 2 and 15‑210 ORE 3 models offered under the programme are designed to meet the specific requirements of school transport in terms of safety, comfort and accessibility, notably through a mobile seating system for passengers with reduced mobility. The 15‑210 ORE 3 model can carry up to 59 students plus the driver.
