Vénissieux, March 10th 2026
IVECO BUS is strengthening its presence in Uzbekistan through two agreements covering CKD production of the DAILY minibus and nationwide distribution of the IVECO BUS portfolio. Production, in partnership with Asaka Motors International LLC, is scheduled to begin in May 2026, while distribution will be managed by ASAKA EFVI TRUCK AND BUS JV LLC. The partners aim to sell 500 units in the first year, progressively increasing production and sales to 1,000 units annually within three years.
An industrial project supporting local development
CKD production represents a major milestone for Uzbekistan’s industrial sovereignty and contributes to the emergence of a strong and sustainable national industrial ecosystem. The project reflects IVECO BUS’s long-term commitment to sustainable mobility solutions and supports local industrial growth.
The initial production program will focus on the DAILY minibus range, including both diesel and electric versions. By combining IVECO BUS’s engineering expertise with local manufacturing capabilities, the project will support job creation, technical training, and skills transfer within Uzbekistan’s automotive sector, fostering the country’s industrial and technological development.
Meeting growing demand for mobility solutions
Uzbekistan’s economic growth and infrastructure development are driving rising demand for reliable, high-performance, and affordable passenger transport. The versatily DAILY minibus range is designed to meet diverse needs, including:
· Urban and intercity passenger transport
· Corporate and institutional fleets
· Tourism transport operations
· Shuttle services
Local assembly will ensure a competitive total cost of ownership, strong after-sales support, and optimized delivery times for customers.
In addition to diesel versions, IVECO BUS will introduce electric variants of the DAILY minibus as part of a progressive electrification roadmap. Over time, the manufacturer also plans to explore introducing its zero-emission bus range, aligned with Uzbekistan’s environmental objectives, supported by pilot projects and strategic partnerships in major urban areas.
“The agreements signed in Uzbekistan represent an important step in our international growth strategy. By establishing local CKD production and a robust distribution structure, we are building a solid foundation for long-term development in Central Asia,” said Sascha Kaehne, IVECO BUS AMEA Bus Commercial Operations.
“We are proud to collaborate with IVECO BUS to deliver advanced transport solutions in Uzbekistan. This partnership strengthens our industrial capabilities and supports the modernization of passenger mobility in the country,” said Jalilov Avazbek, Chief Executive Officer, Asaka Motors International LLC.
