IVECO BUS supports the transition to zero‑emission mobility through a global ecosystem for high-performance electric mobility, including battery electric vehicles and a global ecosystem of services.

At the IVECO BUS stand, a 12-meter night charging CROSSWAY Low Entry ELEC (Class I) is being highlighted. It can accommodate 42 seated passengers.  Equipped with 7 NMC battery packs for a total capacity of 485 kWh and a 290 kW SIEMENS Elfa III electric motor developing 3000 Nm of torque.

CROSSWAY Low Entry ELEC: for emission-free suburban mobility

The CROSSWAY Low Entry ELEC already offers transport operators an effective solution, well ahead of the 2030 regulatory deadline for CO2 emission reduction. It is the ideal 100% electric intercity for suburban missions requiring a balance between seated and standing passengers. With its Low Entry design, it can access city centres, freeing transport operators from the constraints of environmental regulations and positioning itself as a perfect complement to the range for decarbonising transport. Its key strengths:

-Available in Class I and Class II, and in two lengths of 12 and 13 meters.

-Maximum modularity in battery pack configuration with 5, 6 or 7 batteries providing respectively 346, 416 and 485 kWh for the Class I version, and 416 and 485 kWh for the Class II version.

-Up to 44 seats for the 12 m version and 48 seats for the 13 m version.

-Several charging modes: at the depot using an individual COMBO CCS2 socket or by ascending or descending pantograph.

-High performance with a range of around 400 km – sufficient to fully ensure missions beyond the city centre without generating local emissions.

With its low floor at the front and first two doors, the CROSSWAY Low Entry ELEC guarantees total accessibility for passengers boarding and exiting the vehicle, thanks to double doors (1,200 mm) at the front and centre. It can also be equipped with an electric or manual ramp, with a dedicated interior space for passengers with reduced mobility.

Like the other models in the CROSSWAY range, the CROSSWAY Low Entry ELEC is produced at the Vysoke Myto plant in the Czech Republic. For interurban missions, IVECO BUS further expands its zero‑emission portfolio with the CROSSWAY ELEC, available in 12‑ and 13‑meter lengths in Class II and Class III.

IVECO BUS’s zero emission range also includes urban mobility solutions:

·       The E‑WAY lineup offers battery electric city-buses from 9.5 to 18 meters, combining a modular roof‑and‑rear battery architecture with flexible charging solutions - from overnight slow depot charging (also available on the articulated model) to opportunity charging via pantograph, - plus LINIUM BRT variants in 12 and 18 meters.

·       The E-WAY H2 12-m long fuel cell city bus combining a 100 kW fuel cell with a 69 kWh battery pack. This concept is particularly effective in reducing hydrogen consumption (15 to 20% lower than usual levels) and optimising thermal comfort, while ensuring a long service life for key components (battery and fuel cell) and offering excellent passenger capacity.

·       The new eDAILY LE is a Low Entry zero‑emission minibus designed for urban operations. Compact and accessible, it accommodates up to 27 passengers and features enhanced accessibility solutions. Its modular energy storage system comprises three or four battery packs of 37 kWh each, delivering a range of up to 270 km. The eDAILY LE also offers flexible charging options, with full recharge achievable in as little as 2 hours at a fast‑charging station.

High‑energy‑density batteries, assembled in Europe

The heavy-duty E‑WAY and CROSSWAY ranges are equipped with 69 kWh NMC batteries delivering class‑leading energy density. Assembled in Italy by FPT Industrial for other European markets, these batteries feature a modular and flexible design, enabling them to meet a wide range of operational requirements and applications. Fully compliant with the ISO 26262 functional safety standard and the latest UNECE R100.3 regulation, they incorporate enhanced safety features to ensure a high level of system reliability. In the event of thermal runaway detection, including in standby mode, the battery is automatically activated to issue an alert. The battery management system ensures optimal monitoring, preserves battery integrity and maximizes service life, while integrating safety and cybersecurity functions specifically tailored to bus applications.

The eDAILY minibuses are equipped with 37 kWh batteries assembled in Italy at FPT Industrial’s ePowertrain facility.
