Minister of Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Senegal Yankoba Diémé visits the IVECO BUS factory in the Czech Republic
On 22 October 2025, the IVECO BUS factory in Vysoké Mýto had the honour of welcoming Yankoba Diémé, Minister of Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Senegal. This facility, located in the Czech Republic, is the manufacturer’s main production site and one of the largest coach manufacturing plants in Europe, which this year celebrated its 130th anniversary.
The Minister was warmly welcomed by David Kříž, Managing Director of Iveco Czech Republic, as well as Plant Manager Jaroslav Sturma and Quality Manager Milan Radimersky. The ministerial delegation of 13 people included, among others: Mr Amady Khaliou DIÉMÉ – Technical Advisor to the Minister, Mr Assane MBENGUE – General Director of Dakar Dem Dikk, Mr Thierno DIOP General Secretary of Dakar Dem Dikk and Mrs Anna Dupalová – Head of the Economic and Commercial Section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Dakar.
During this visit, the Minister and his delegation explored several sections of the industrial facilities where the IVECO BUS ranges are manufactured, notably the EVADYS coach and the CROSSWAY intercity bus. The latter, a leader in the European market, is available in various versions and energy types, and has been produced in more than 65,000 units.
The CROSSWAY range, renowned for its quality, performance, versatility, and comfort, offers a relevant transport solution to meet the specific needs of passenger transport in Africa. In 2024, 370 CROSSWAY units were delivered to DAKAR DEM DIKK to modernize public transport services in the Dakar metropolitan area.
