IVECO BUS awarded 2025 Consip tender for the supply of 80 Daily CNG minibuses

IVECO BUS has been awarded Lot 1 of the latest Consip tender for the supply of natural gas-powered minibuses. The lot includes two sub-lots: urban vehicles (Class I) and interurban vehicles (Class II), with a total of 80 DAILY CNG minibuses to be delivered: 30 Class I and 50 Class II. The selected model is the Daily 70C14 CNG with Indcar body, chosen for its strong performance and low environmental impact, aligning with current expectations for sustainable mobility.

The 80 Daily CNG minibuses feature an 8-speed automatic gearbox, rear air suspension, and high-capacity methane tanks for extended range. A separate driver’s cab enhances safety and driving comfort. All vehicles comply with the latest safety standards and are equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), a fire suppression system, a TPMS tyre pressure monitoring system, route indicators, an onboard AVM system, CCTV cameras, and a passenger counting system.

Giorgio ZINO, Head of IVECO BUS Commercial Operations in Europe, commented:

“Being awarded this important Consip tender confirms the relevance and reliability of our offering, particularly in the methane-powered vehicle segment, where we have solid experience. The DAILY CNG minibuses represent a concrete and effective solution to support the ecological transition of public transport, combining environmental sustainability, safety, and comfort. We are proud to actively contribute to a more responsible mobility model that serves local communities.”

The urban models are designed to accommodate 14 seated passengers, 14 standing passengers, and a dedicated space for wheelchair users, accessible via a manual ramp. The monocoque seats are specially designed to resist vandalism. The interurban models offer 22 seated places, 5 standing places, and a space for passengers with reduced mobility, also equipped with a manual ramp. The ergonomic seats include hand grips and are upholstered in fabric to ensure passenger comfort.

The compact dimensions—both in length and width—and high level of customisation make the Daily CNG vehicles highly versatile, suitable for both urban and interurban use, ensuring comfort, safety, and operational efficiency.

With this award, IVECO BUS once again demonstrates its leadership in the local public transport sector, providing advanced, reliable, and sustainable technological solutions in support of the energy transition and the mobility of the future.
