IVECO BUS and Al Fairuz, the official brand dealer in Oman, delivered three CROSSWAY units to the Public Security Department of Oman. The handover took place during an official ceremony held on 10 December in Muscat, Oman.

The three 12-meter CROSSWAY units, powered by Euro 3 Cursor 9 engines, are configured to carry up to 45 passengers and will join the Public Security Department’s fleet to support nationwide transport of officials.

All CROSSWAY vehicles delivered to the Public Security Department of Oman were manufactured at IVECO BUS Vysoke Myto plant in the Czech Republic, Europe’s largest bus manufacturing facility, which produces more than 5,000 units annually and is celebrating its 130th anniversary this year.

Haider, Deputy Managing Director of Al Fairuz, commented: "At Al Fairuz, we are delighted to further strengthen our important partnership with the Omani Government by extending it to the bus segment. This development builds on our well-established relationship, which spans multiple IVECO models, including firefighting and defense units. The delivery of this initial batch of CROSSWAY vehicles is supported by a tailored aftersales solution package that ensures uninterrupted uptime for our customer’s demanding mission.

Alberto Pellegrini, IVECO BUS Business Manager for the Middle East, added: “We are very proud of this relevant delivery to the Government of Oman for this important application. These vehicles have been specifically prepared for the severe and highly demanding climate conditions of the Gulf Region, featuring double-glazed windows and a powerful 45 kW air conditioning system. The entire Middle East bus market is growing and continuously raising its quality standards, and IVECO BUS, together with its official distributor Al Fairuz, is ready to take up the challenge!
