IVECO BUS is a full line manufacturer distributed worldwide. As part of its commercial strategy, IVECO BUS is enlarging its presence to regions outside of Europe and particularly in Asia, proposing its full offering of vehicles including the zero emission ones as well as its Service offering.

The IVECO BUS’s line-up perfectly reflects the brand’s capacity to provide efficient, reliable, and sustainable mobility solutions for every kind of missions as well as a widespread service network while respecting operating costs. To accelerate sustainable mobility adoption IVECO BUS is now offering through Energy Mobility Solutions a full set of answers in terms of hardware, software, civil works and consultancy services.

Three relevant mobility solutions of the brand are on display on a 442 m² stand Nr A07 in Hall 3:

·       CROSSWAY: intercity bus for short-distance and medium-distance passenger transport, compliant with renewable fuel.

·       EVADYS: perfect business partner designed for regional and national route services, airport transfers, organized travel tours and excursions, compliant with renewable fuel.

·       E-WAY 12-m: full electric city bus. Large range and optimized passenger capacity for the top performance matching with the best comfort.

·       Energy Mobility Solutions, this innovative e-mobility business model supports transport operators through a smooth energy transition, offering a tailor-made turnkey solution, from the design of vehicles and associated installations to their implementation.

·       IVECO ON digital and connected services designed to optimize energy consumption and support fleet management, winner of the “Busworld Digital Award” in 2023 at Busworld Europe in Brussels.

IVECO BUS increasing presence in Turkiye

IVECO BUS achieves its targets in the Turkish market thanks to fruitful partnerships and collaborations to strengthen its position as a brand able to provide both complete vehicles and minibus chassis.

The brand has already delivered respectively 10 CROSSWAY to Balıkesir and to Mugla with the support of FSM Demirbaş Otomotiv, the dedicated dealer of the Brand on the territory, that plays a crucial role being close to the customers.

Almost 2,000 Daily chassis are body-worked each year in Turkiye by bodybuilders partners, specialized and qualified, to deliver minibuses that fully meet the local market expectations.

On top, thanks to the signature in 2020 of an industrial agreement here in Turkey, IVECO BUS has expanded its manufacturing capabilities to produce its CROSSWAY range locally and thus support its continued growth.

With a record production of more than 65,000 units, the CROSSWAY range, is the undisputed market leader in its segment. The CROSSWAY recently entered the Turkish market.

CROSSWAY represents an efficient and reliable transport solution for customers, achieving a substantial reduction in total cost of ownership, and fuel consumption. As it adapts to the most diverse climatic conditions, the CROSSWAY is well appreciated by customers all over the world.

Being 10, 12 or 13m long, the XTL compatible CROSSWAY models can be powered either with a

Euro VI-e Tector 7 or the Cursor 9 engine and offer the choice between ZF and VOITH gearboxes for great driving comfort and optimized performance in terms of fuel efficiency.

The driver’s station features an ergonomic and automotive-style steering wheel. Controls have been positioned at the driver’s fingertips, so they can control all the main functions without releasing the steering wheel. Adding to the driver’s comfort is the fully customizable dashboard with multiple storage spaces, charging plugs, double USB ports, and cup and bottle holders. The 7-inch full-color display cluster shows various driving and vehicle information, such the Driving Style Evaluation, the speed set up for cruise control and much more.

The vehicle’s passive safety has been strengthened with front collision mitigation to ECE R29.03 regulation certified by TÜV Sud.

Ideal from interurban missions to excursion missions to school transport, the CROSSWAY range demonstrates its versatility thanks to a variety of lengths and energies including also biomethane and hybrid.

EVADYS, perfect for multitasking and versatile applications

EVADYS is the most multipurpose vehicle, designed to accomplish any mission from the shuttle bus to the excursion or scheduled lines bus. It completes the upscale segment of combined excursion/touristic coaches, providing maximum performance, together with the highest level of comfort and maximum safety for driver and passengers.

EVADYS is equipped with the 400 HP Cursor 9 engine, known for its fuel economy and whose environmental performance can be further improved by using renewable fuels.

EVADYS benefits from all the step E novelties outlined for the CROSSWAY. It builds on an outstanding versatility in terms of lengths (12 and 12.96 m), gearboxes (ZF Ecolife 2 – VOITH Diwa NXT), doors layouts (three types), that customers can specify to match very precisely their specific requirements. Multiple seats layouts are possible, for example, 63 seats capacity on one side, 3GBK German standard on the other side.

EVADYS offers the largest space for luggage in its segment with up to 12 m3, with higher entrance height for luggage loading.

It shares many components and its cockpit with the CROSSWAY range.

A full electric city buses offering designed to meet the most demanding missions

Electromobility is in IVECO BUS's DNA, with more than 20 years of experience paving the way for generations of trolleybuses, hybrid buses and electric buses. IVECO BUS started it full electric journey in 2015, launching its E-WAY battery-electric offering which has proven to be highly reliable and efficient. Up to 1,500 units are currently in service in more than a dozen European countries.

The IVECO BUS electromobility solutions is represented on the booth by a 12-meter-long E-WAY model.

The E-WAY portfolio includes models available in four lengths (9.5m, 10.7m, 12m and 18m), and three charging modes: charging at the depot is now also available on articulated versions as well as opportunity charging via bottom-up pantograph on 12-m long versions. They offer the best balance between passenger capacity and on-board energy available. In addition, the 12- or 18-meter-long models of the E-WAY is also available as a Bus Rapid Transit system (BRT version), named LINIUM. 

To also meet the different requirements of targeted markets in Central, Eastern and Southern Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia, IVECO BUS extended last year its electromobility offering with a new battery-electric city bus: the STREETWAY ELEC. Compliant with the most widespread European product and safety standards, this 12-metre-long electric city bus is designed for all-day use with night-time recharging at the depot. It can accommodate more than 90 passengers.

Latest generation of high energy density battery for energy storage

The entire IVECO BUS electromobility offering, meaning the E-WAY range and the STREETWAY ELEC model, benefit from the 69kWh NMC battery pack assembled by FPT Industrial. This latest-generation modular battery concept, featuring best-in-class energy density and charging capacity, is perfectly shaped for bus applications. The modular energy storage architecture offers a choice of various combinations of battery packs layouts between the roof and the rear to maximize passenger capacity based on expected range and charging strategy.

Energy Mobility Solutions supports the customers on their journey to e-mobility, advising on the best energy solution for the operation and coordinating complex infrastructure projects. On top of zero-emission buses, it is a complete ecosystem that begins with the simulation all the way to the bus, includes the battery type and technology, the associated charging solutions, as well as financial services and telematics. ·       IVECO BUS assists customers in the use of their buses through a wide global network including more than 40 service points in the Asian region, as well as a dedicated Bus Control Room, and digital tools. ·       Vehicles on the stand:

The CROSSWAY on display at BUSWORLD is a 12-meter long, equipped with a Tector 7 EURO VI-e 320 hp (235 kW) engine and ZF gearbox. Inside, the layout includes with 53 seats, 2 tilting seats, air conditioning, 5,1 m3 luggage’s + 3m3 overhead compartment.

The EVADYS on stand is 12.1-meter long, equipped with a Cursor 9 EURO VI-e 400 hp (294 kW) engine. It can welcome 53 passengers seated, offering full air conditioning, USB plugs for passengers; 2 fridges, 8.6m3 of luggage room and 1.6m3 of overhead luggage area.

The E-WAY showcased is a 12-meter night charging version using a Combo CCS 2 individual charging socket. It is equipped with a 140-kW electric traction motor and with high energy lithium-ion NMC batteries (378 kWh). Accessible via 3 doors and a manual ramp, it offers comfort and well-being on-board: additional triangular windows, full air conditioning, 24 seated and 49 standing passengers and a wheelchair area.
