TUSSAM, Seville's Municipal Transport Company, has chosen to renew its fleet with IVECO BUS's 100% electric vehicles in its commitment to offer residents of the Andalusian capital an improvement in their quality of life. These are the manufacturer's very first E-WAY units to operate in Spain.

 The five 12-metre E-WAY buses will charge at the depot and are equipped with a camera rearview system to improve driver comfort.

IVECO BUS delivers its first E-WAY electric buses in Spain. These new buses will contribute to making Seville's Urban Transport (TUSSAM) fleet more sustainable. They will operate on the streets of Seville without generating polluting and noise emissions, thus protecting the environment and improving air quality in the Andalusian capital.

Electric E-WAY: a high-performance zero-emission solution

 The E-WAY range offers a supremely comfortable experience for drivers and passengers with smooth, quiet and vibration-free driving and acceleration. This range benefits from more than 20 years of development and manufacturing experience acquired by IVECO BUS in alternative energies and in electric mobility.

The E-Way can recharge in less than four hours at the depot thanks to its CCS2 Combo socket, offering the necessary range to carry out its daily operating mission.

The new IVECO ON telematics services available on the E-WAY range have been designed to meet the requirements of public transport and operators in terms of Total Cost of Ownership, availability management, and safety and security.

The wide range of IVECO ON Fleet Management on-board services provide a real-time situation of the customer’s fleet of IVECO BUS vehicles and gives a comprehensive overview of the behavior of the electric buses and their traction batteries.

On top of these high-performance characteristics, the five night-charging 12-metre electric buses that have joined the TUSSAM fleet of 484 buses feature a camera rearview system that replaces the traditional external mirrors to facilitate driving comfort by reducing blind spots.

About TUSSAM

TUSSAM, provides the public urban transport service in the city of Seville, covering a population of just under

700,000 inhabitants, spread over an area of 142 km2, through a network of 45 daily lines and 10 nightlines.

The total length of the network exceeds 680 km and consists of a fleet of 424 buses and 4 trams, to which must be added

18 vehicles of the lines under contract. Our fleet incorporates the latest technological advances in safety, comfort, and quality, in compliance with environmental requirements.
