The new IVECO ON telematics offer integrates customer-centred solutions with a whole range of new connectivity-enabled services designed to optimize the vehicles’ uptime management and the Total Cost of Ownership of public transport operators, while ensuring safety and security.

IVECO BUS has introduced the new IVECO ON telematics services on all Euro VI step E and electric heavy buses since the beginning of 2022. This wide range of connectivity-enabled services has been designed to help customers optimize the operation and maintenance of their IVECO BUS fleet. Two packages are available to meet the different requirements: the Smart Pack and the Premium Pack.

The Smart Pack, available on all vehicles, consists of:

- IVECO ON Portal access

- CONTROL ROOM support

The IVECO ON Portal provides access to a wealth of information on the behavior of the customer’s IVECO BUS fleet in operation, such as Driving Style Evaluation, energy consumption, average speed, and distance per day. The customer is also able to monitor detailed data on individual vehicles. This user-friendly portal provides the fleet manager with valuable KPIs about the performance of their IVECO buses, enabling them to optimize the deployment and uptime of the vehicles.

The Smart Pack also offers customers the support of IVECO’s dedicated CONTROL ROOM, which provides daily technical reports focused on operating and maintenance data for the whole range of IVECO buses. In particular, these reports include all the data they need for the optimal maintenance of their electric buses. The information also enables them to monitor their vehicles on a daily basis to ensure they are operated consistently with the expected lifetime of the traction batteries.

The CONTROL ROOM also monitors the fleets to help anticipating in some cases failures in operation and avoiding unplanned stops. Doors, traction batteries and other functions are analyzed in detail every day, providing useful information, and facilitating problem solving.

The Premium Pack, available as an option, provides real-time information and is more focused on the fleet’s operation. It includes a real-time fleet management portal and a Web API ITxPT Standard TiGR, a smart solution for customers who need to monitor vehicles in a multi-brand fleet. This well-known API, standardized by the ITxPT association belonging to UITP, eliminates the need to use an additional telematics box to access data from different brands of buses.

The Fleet Management portal provides real-time information for all ranges of IVECO buses and all energy sources – including electric. The data, customers will be able to access, includes the real-time state of charge of traction batteries and the remaining range of their electric buses. The portal also offers the possibility to download remotely chrono tachograph and breathalyzer data on a secure cloud storage.
