IVECO was established as the result of the merger of five truck brands within the Fiat Group: Fiat, OM and Lancia of Italy, Unic of France and Magirus Deutz of Germany.

IVECO Ford Truck Ltd, a joint venture (and de facto merger) in which IVECO S.p.A. holds a 52% share with Ford's truck business in Europe, was established.

Irisbus was created following the equal merger of the bus divisions of IVECO and Renault VI.

Fiat forms FPT, grouping together all automotive and industrial powertrain activities.

Fiat spins off its non-auto activities: IVECO, FPT Industrial and CNH Global N.V. are demerged from Fiat S.p.A. to Fiat Industrial.

IVECO BUS brand was founded and incorporated IRISBUS.

CNH Industrial is founded following the merger of Fiat Industrial and CNH Global N.V.

Iveco Group was established on 1st January, 2022, following the execution of the deed of demerger from CNH Industrial. The first day of trading at Euronext Milan was on 3 January 2022.
